Week #3

Assignment #1
Recycling
My established goal is for my students to learn and understand the concepts of recycling. what, where, the process, and most importantly how they can make recycling part of their lives.
The students will understand the importance of recycling and how detrimental it can be for the environment. They will learn what is included in recycling and how to do it.
There are numerous important questions to ponder when reading about this topic: What must be recycled? Where do you recycle? Why do we need to recycle? And how can make recycling part of my routine?
At the end of this learning experience the student will have a new understanding and knowledge on the concept of recycling. Recycling is very important because it can have a major negative impact on the environment. Too much waste causes a rise in pollution and recycling minimizes waste and reduces the pollution. Additionally, when we recycle we reduce the number of tree being cut down. The more trees cut down, more deforestation, which can then result in global warming and habitat destruction.  Plastic, metal, glass, paper, and cardboard are materials that require recycling. Every neighborhood has multiple recycling bins where theses material can be disposed. Every student uses these materials countless times a day and should make a conscious effort to try recycling.

Now that the students know the severity of recycling they will try to incorporate into their lives. Every time they finish a bottle or throw out a paper they can dispose of it in the recycling bin instead of the regular garbage.
